Pictures, stories, discoveries… Our temporary exhibitions change continuously to surprise you again and again.
Since the opening in October 2018, visitors have been exploring this unique experience with great enthusiasm: thousands walk through the rooms each month, which have become accessible again thanks to recent heritage conservation work. The basement of the Wágner Villa, which had been closed to the public for decades, is now the setting for a truly unique journey through time.

In the Footsteps of Fejes: Anatolia 110 Years Later

On July 7, 1914, two secondary school teachers from Pápa, Zsigmond Fejes and Imre Lakos, set out on a journey to explore the then largely unmapped regions of Cilicia. Their choice of destination was likely influenced by the Turanian movement’s fascination with the East, as well as by personal ambition.

The Future Traditions project is an international research and education development programme launched in 2015 by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in partnership with the University of South-Eastern Norway. Its aim is the innovative reinterpretation of traditional folk art forms and their closely associated archaic craft techniques through the contemporary methodology of design research.
