On May 28, the foundation’s first broadcasted concert was visible and audible on social media platforms. We welcomed our children spectators with special love, as we dedicated this concert to them on the occasion of the Children’s Day of the last Sunday of May.
Hungarian and Turkish melodies were played at the concert, the Gül Baba Cultural Center provided the venue for the recording. The songs that can be found in the memory of both peoples (such as the “Spring Wind Flooding Water”) prove how diverse and complex the common traditions and melodic treasures of the two nations are.

Guessous Mesi is a Hungarian-Moroccan singer with Junior Prima prize. He graduated as a performer and teacher of folk singing at the Academy of Music, where she also taught folk singing between 2010-2018. She regularly gives concerts both in Hungary and abroad. Singing in more than ten languages through her concerts, she builds bridges between cultures in many parts of the world, often fulfilling diplomatic invitations. In recent years, she has been able to perform in Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia as the first Hungarian singer.
Born in 1980, Arif Erdem Ocak is a founding member of the Turkish band Seksendört. Arif, who graduated from the Nazim Hikmet Academy with a degree in Jazz Guitar, also conducted private studies under Erkan Ogur. The songs of Arif Erdem Ocak are hundreds of years old Turkish folk songs, which connect the past and present with their rhythm and melodic world, accompanied by his unique guitar technique. From 1999 to the present, Seksendört have made 5 studio albums and more than 25 video clips together. In October 2015, Arif made the audio material for his first solo album at the Supersize Studio in Budapest in 60 days.
